VCSU Football

Last Saturday we attended the Homecoming football game in Valley City. Jordan had a good game. I was fortunate enough to catch a couple video clips of him. Watch for #4.

Happy Birthday, Maite!!

Happy Birthday, Sister!!

We are so glad you are part of our family. Hope you have a great birthday!!

Black Hills State

We traveled to Spearfish, SD this weekend for VCSU football. We spent a lot of hours traveling (over 1,100 miles), but wouldn't have missed it for anything! The Vikings had a player collapse during half-time. (Temps were in the upper 80's.) It was very frightening for everyone.

I attempted to get some video clips of the game. I guess the quality is okay considering how far away from the action I actually was.

One clip shows Jordan (#4) catching the ball. The other shows a host of Vikings pushing our quarterback over the goal line for a touchdown.

Bump, Set, Spike!

Today was Morgan's first volleyball match. We traveled to Wahpeton to get in on the action. Some of the rules had changed from "back in the day" when we were in school. They had "rally scoring" and a couple other rules that had us scratching our heads at times. Hopefully by the next game we fans will have a better idea what is going on.

Morgan had some good saves....

and some good serves....

her left-handed serve threw off the opponents and we scored 7 or 8 points in row......

she had a least one good spike.....

and some great sets....

of course being the good mom, I didn't put in any photos of the balls that she didn't quite get over the net!! :)

Even though Em made fun of me taking photos......

I want to say that she did a real good job in the game today.....especially with her serves!

Viking Football

Valley City traveled to Northfield, MN on Saturday to play St. Olaf. The Vikings did not win this week, but it was a fun game for us with all of the family members who came to watch Jordan play. (Jordan is #4.)

You can follow the VCSU Vikings at http://vikings.vcsu.edu/football

Evan & Autumn had their picture taken with Jordan after the game.

Allie enjoyed eating snacks, reading books, and playing with Auntie Morgan and Cousin Moriah during the game. We loved to listen to her point to things in her books and tell us what they were. She is a fan of all things Dora, Sponge Bob, and monkeys!

Junior High

It is tradition to take a photo the first day of school.

Morgan was ready for her first day of Junior High in record time. We were concerned that the bus driver might miss our stop (he would forget to drop her off many times last year) and that I might end up driving her to school. Bus #44 pulled up right in front of our house on schedule! The day was off to a good start!
