Christmas 2008 - Part 2

Christmas morning (okay - it was closer to 1:00 before we got on the road) we packed up the car and took off for Rochester to spend some time with Jeremy, Kara & Allie

Since I am the author of this blog I will NOT be posting the attractive photo that my daughter took of me sleeping in the back seat on the drive down.

We immediately started in on Allie's new 100 piece puzzle when we arrived.

Kara made a delicious turkey supper for us.

We opened gifts

Allie played with her Auntie and her new toys until she couldn't go any longer - she fell asleep on her mommy's lap somewhere around midnight

In the morning (Friday) Allie was up bright & early. Auntie helped her build a Lego house, some people & a dog with her new set.

Such a busy little girl!!

Christmas 2008 - Part 1

Here is a picture of me on Christmas morning enjoying the holiday Coke I received from my new daughter-in-law to be!

Yup, you read that right! Jordan proposed to Brittany on Christmas Eve. (And she said "yes".)

Her ring is beautiful. We are so excited that she is going to be a part of our family!!

Christmas Eve - Part 2

In the evening we headed over to the Borowski House to celebrate with them.
Ty & his daddy had matching outfits. (See daddy below.)

Brittany was able to stick around for a while....and boy were we glad about that!

Matt was "feelin the spirit" of the holiday.

Ty & his mommy - It was great to be a part of "Baby's First Christmas"

Can you read the shirt? It says it all!

Ty & Matt compairing the features on their cell phones

Christmas Eve - Part I

Our celebration started with an early afternoon meal with the Fylling/Strand/Bothuns.

No "kids" left for the Kid's Table. What do we call it now??

We were so excited to have Paul's folks, Marilyn & Stieg & their family and Jordan & Brittany spend the day with us.
After the meal we opened gifts together. (No, Taylor had not been drinking too much egg nog!)

What a great afternoon!

A Couple of Marthas (Stewart, that is)

Morgan & Emily helped get ready for the holidays by making our goodies last Saturday night. It was a big help to me.
They made salted nut rolls, Russian tea cakes & wishing stars.
Thanks, Girls!!

Basketball, Basketball & More Basketball!

The Jr. High Girls Basketball season is coming to an end. We have been busy with daily practices and several games each week. Morgan has had tournaments the past two weekends. Here are a few of my attempts at action shots.
