Reasons We Are Proud

1. Morgan was honored this morning at the 7th Grade Honors Breakfast. She was one of 104 honor students in her class!!

2. Jordan made the board for power clean today. (I believe this has something to do with weight lifting.) He hadn't made it since he has been playing football at VCSU!!

Jordan - in his early years of football.

Morgan - before she knew her A B C's.

You have come a long way. We are proud of you both!!

Guys & Dolls, Jr

The girls were in the Junior High Musical this past week. There were 3 performances for the public. Family members were able to attend all three. Paul showed up at 3:30 a.m. & Jordan drove from Valley City early on Wednesday morning to attend the 9 a.m. show. Jordan said it was really good.....I hadn't seen it yet.....he was right!!

The following close up shots were posted on the Daily Journal's web page

In case you hadn't figured it out........Morgan is a guy!

She is the one in the yellow shirt.

Happy 15th Birthday, Austin!

Can't believe you are 15 already......seems like just yesterday when you were chasing Morgan, Emily & Andrew (and Abz?) around Grandma Pat's house with a dirty toilet plunger......I can still hear the screams of terror!!

Have a great birthday!

All School Band Concert

Last night the girls had their Spring Band Concert. It was held in the high school gym. Seating wasn't that great. We were two rows from the top.....the serious "nose bleed seats"!
The pictures didn't turn out too bad considering the girls were way on the other side of the gym.

The 7th grade band is in the back of the photo on the far right.
Each band played individual numbers & then they all played 3 numbers together.

Thanks to Grandma Kay, Grandpa Rog & Heather for coming along to support the girls!

Weekend with Allie

Jeremy, Kara & Allie arrived around 9:45 on Thursday night. The weather really delayed their travel. Poor Allie fell asleep about an hour from here & was quite groggy when they arrived. She woke up and played with Auntie for a while and then crawled into bed with Grandma to read books. She had 4 books that we read over & over & over all weekend long.

On Friday afternoon Jeremy & Kara left for a wedding in Fargo. They were gone for 24 hours. Allie talked about them while they were gone, but never asked for them. She was too busy to find time to miss them! Here she is shoveling snow with Auntie.

Next she had Auntie pull her around the yard in a sled.

It had to be the pink one!

Allie's Christmas gift from the Klimek's was still here waiting to be opened. She had a fun time with the Aqua Doodle that they gave her. Grandma had to make lots of "chickens" for her with the handprint stamp. (There were directions to make a turkey from your handprint around the outside of the mat.....we made 1 and she was hooked.) Thanks, Klimeks!

She was tired from all the fresh air, but wanted to watch the "piggy movie" (Charolette's Web) before nap time

Things started to get silly, so it was off to Grandma's bed for a couple books and a back rub.

It didn't take long to fall asleep. We had to wake our little "sleeping beauty" so we could go visit the Borowski's after supper.
We were hanging out with the Borowki's and all the pets until quite late. We brought our tired little girl home, read the same 4 books again several times and turned out the lights. Allie didn't see much of Grandpa up until this point. She slept between us & wasn't all that impressed to wake up next to him Saturday morning.
Grandpa, Auntie & Peppy went for another ride in the pink sled on Saturday. Grandpa pulled her over to the park a couple blocks from our house. Morgan & Allie rode down a small hill. They hooked Peppy up to the sled and she pulled Allie back up the hill again. (Who would have known that Peppy was a sled dog?!?)

Allie loves Peppy and showered her with tons of hugs (usually around the middle because there was a lesser chance she would be licked at that angle).

Peppy tolerated all the love and was rewarded with many, many doggie treats once Allie knew how to get at them.

Here is Allie opening the basement door to get Pep's treats.

We had such a good time with our little sweetie. We can't wait for her to come back again. Rumor has it she might get to stay with us for a whole week in June. We can't wait!
