Thanksgiving Week

We started out the week with Movie Night at the Borowski's on Monday night - "My Sister's Keeper".  It was a good story.  Tuesday night was the high school band concert.  I just took a picture of Morgan before the concert so I didn't have to take my camera....I am such a dud!

School got out at noon on Wednesday.  I took off work on Thursday & Friday too.
It was so good to have a short week!

This little guy was tired after Thanksgiving dinner - we thought he would fall asleep playing on the floor, but nope....he made it all day long without taking a snooze....and he didn't even turn into Mr. Crabs!

We all went out to Rog & Kay's farm for some delicious food & a fun time.
A trip to the farm wouldn't be complete without a trip to feed the cats in John & Jill's barn!

A little target shooting was planned for the afternoon. These targets were used for the handguns.

Paul is showing Morgan how to shoot Rog's little Derringer.

Out of 4 attempts Morgan hit the milk jug once with this little gun.  She had better accuracy when she shot Wes's handgun.  Emily & Heather also got in on the range practice.  Heather attempted to shoot some clay pigeons as well.....I don't think that she had a lot (if any) success in that area.

This little guy thought he was smart stuff drinking the last drips out of his mommy's pop bottle.

Ahh....good to the last drop!
Thanks, Rog & Kay for a great afternoon!!

Playing Catch Up

You may want to start from the bottom of the page and work your way to the top post.
I had a lot of catching up to do!

Fall Play

Morgan was cast as Peaseblossom (a fairy) in the fall play this past weekend.

She did a great job!

Shakespeare can be hard to listen to/understand.
I had to really listen close to catch what was being said and to appreciate the humor of the play.

Jordan & Brittany came from Valley City for the final performance on Sunday.
Thanks for coming!!

Paul is still busy harvesting sunflowers. He needed to be in the fields as much as possible this weekend.
His friend, Dennis, has an airplane and flew them from Bottineau to Fergus Falls for the afternoon and then back again after the play.  Thanks, Dennis for doing this for our family!!

Visit from Brittany

Brittany travels with her job for Valley City State University.
We were excited when she got to spend 3 nights with us this month.

We were able to celebrate her birthday a few days early.

We had a good time visiting together with the Borowski/Lewis crew.

The best part of the visit for Brittany was snuggling up with her little
furry friend each night she was here!

Come stay with us again soon!
(Hurlz says, "woof"!)

Pumpkin Carving Time

On Halloween Day we went to Borowski's house to do our traditional
pumpkin carving and seed roasting activities.  Tim's girlfriend, Ariel, had never carved a pumpkin before.  She did quite well for a rookie!!

I traditionally do the pumpkin seeds (that way I get out of carving).  This year Morgan & Emily each made their own pan of seeds.  Everyone agreed that they did a great job!

Ty was busy trying to decide if it was okay to get all gooey....

he decided it was okay!

Before he got ready to go to his G & G Lewis's house
he posed for a few pictures with his pumpkin.

He was very busy putting a little car in & out, in & out of his his pumpkin.

He are the finished pumpkins all lit up and waiting to scare
little Trick or Treaters when they came to the door.

The Greatest Halloween Party Ever!

We had the best time at Miss Piggy's party when we were in Nelson!

She is the best party planner in the state of Wisconsin!

Brett added so much entertainment to the party.  What a cutie!!

These girls were busy, busy, busy all night long!

My cute daughter-in-law!

Gram
She sure looks great for just turning 88!!

These little cousins played non-stop all night long!

Everyone present put on a special costume that Connie had planned.  It was so much fun waiting to see what she had in store for each guest.  These little girls wore their costumes all night long.  They had a blast picking the rubber mouse, bloodshot eyeballs & other scary stuff off of the cake.

Thanks, Con, for the party of the year!!!

Still Catching Up.....

Morgan & I went to Nelson for a few days to help my folks
do a few things in their house to get it ready to put on the market.

Shana & Abz came and helped too.
We were glad to go and help them out.
They have done so much for all of us over the years.

Catching up from October.....

October was a busy month.  Our little friend, Hurley, moved in with us.

She will be here until around Christmas time.

It didn't take long for her to claim Paul's spot in the bed.

Our house is littered with doggie toys....but we don't mind....
well, except when we step on them in the dark

How can you not love this snuggly little friend?!

How Old Do They Have to Be Before A Mom Stops Worrying?!?!?

Jordan's college football years are over.  He was fortunate to not have any major injuries during his football career.  I thought that my years of worrying about him getting injured were over.  Those of you who know Jordan know better!!  Of course he can't just settle down and participate in a safe sport that has little to no physical contact like golf, or table tennis....NO.....he is now into grappling, karate & fighting!

I don't know much about any of these sports.  (He probably feels the less I know the better.)  Here are a few photos Brittany took of a grappling tournament that he was in about a month ago.  Jordan took 1st place in his weight class.

I understand you wrestle until someone "taps out".
He said the object is to tap out before something breaks....good grief!!

Jordan also has his orange belt in karate.

I just found out yesterday that he is now training to fight in a ring.
Sorry, son....I won't be going to watch you do that any time soon!!!
