Allie's Visit

Here are a few highlights from the past 5 days of Allie's visit.

Monday after work we played in the yard for a while.

She got a new pinwheel that is not only fun outside, we drive with the car window open so it can spin in the breeze.

After supper we went to a small park near our house.

Auntie Morgan had a class at the college every day from 1:30 - 2:30. On Tuesday we had to tour the college to see what it was like inside.

We have been in & out of this carseat a hundred times! Every time we get inside a hot car, Grandma says, "Hot Diggity Dog" and Allie says, "Woof, it's hot in here".

Allie has been busy playing piano, coloring & painting pictures and playing with playd0ugh.

Wednesday night we crashed Uncle's work picnic. Allie said the chicken & watermelon & cake was great.

There were games & crafts for the kids. Heather helped Allie make this cool visor.

Bingo with prizes

Allie with all of her "loot".

It feels like it rains every day. We got almost 6 inches of rain in 3 days. This really cuts into our visits to the parks. It is quite muddy. We have been doing a lot of puzzles. We visited the next door neighbor one night and played with their puppy, Molly, and on the playset until after 10 p.m. Then we still needed a bath so it was another late night for Allie. She has been sleeping until 10:30 or later most days. Auntie Morgan doesn't complain about that. :)

We had lunch at McDonald's yesterday before Auntie went "to college".

Allie ordered a hamburger with cheese and no pickles. She also wanted apples and chocolate milk. The caramel dip was her favorite part of the meal. (Allie wants me to write and let you all know that grandma spilled her pop on the floor.)

Today was Auntie's last day at college. There was a short program for everyone to watch.

Allie didn't weigh enough to keep her seat down.

We had about 20 minutes to kill waiting for the program. Allie took about 30 self portraits while we were waiting. Here is one for you all to enjoy. :)

Auntie waiting to perform. Her class was an acting class. They did a short play. Since she was the oldest & tallest she was "the mother".

Here is Allie cooking me a special meal tonight of hot dogs, coffee & muffins.
Every afternoon Allie asks to go to Auntie Sheila's house. She gets to see Ty and Emily when she is there. She especially enjoys the licorice she has been snacking on there.
Tonight we went for a walk when Morgan was at the YMCA with Wes & Emily. We got to hold Wallace, my neighbor's bunny, and pet some cats. Allie helped me sweep the deck and put the plants back where they belong. We had a big storm here last night and there were tree seeds everywhere. Allie also helped pick up some sticks that fell into the yard.

Allie is here by me in our bed. She wanted to take one more picture to share with all of you tonight.

Sleep well!!

Happy Birthday to a Good Big Brother!

Happy 23rd Birthday, Jordan!

Getting your sister to take a nap so mom could have some pool time

Sharing everything with your little sister...you weren't scared of "girl germs"

This little girl would get so excited when you would carry her to the vehicle...it usually meant that you would be sitting by her and entertaining her on the trip to some ballgame or other event....all you had to do was smile at her and she would get the giggles.
(Okay, I won't be posting that picture that you took of her in the vehicle when you told her to pick her nose.......sometimes you just had way too much fun in that back seat together!)

Giving your sister rides around the farm yard......and then having her pick up all the sticks in the yard and put them into the wagon for you as you drove.
Thanks for being such a good big brother!
Love, Mom, Dad & Morgan
